Here is a message from Catholic Workers, which oversees The Storefront, where UUCC serves meals to our Urban Hope Guests:

August is the month when Storefront volunteers take a Sabbath break to rest after a year of making coffee, coordinating showers, serving meals, and providing love and companionship to our guests.

This well-deserved month off allows us to take time to clean the space, do repairs, replenish supplies and our energy. We are in need of the following items before we re-open on September 8.

Items needed:
Men’s boxer briefs – All sizes
Men’s T-shirts – All sizes (mostly L, XL, XXL)
Men’s white socks
Women’s underwear – All sizes
Washcloths
Deodorant
Trial size lotion
